How to Get American Express & Discover Identifiers

Learn how to get more alerts from American Express and Discover

ℹ️ Ethoca and CDRN do not share how much additional coverage you’ll receive for American Express or Discover.

To expand your coverage for American Express (AmEx) and Discover chargeback alerts, gather the following:

  • AmEx SE (Service Establishment) number
  • Discover SE number
  • Registered AmEx descriptor
  • All previous billing descriptors
  • BIN & CAID for your account
  • AmEx MID & account

Once you have this information, forward it to one of our support specialists.

To request this from Stripe, email Stripe Support with the following message:

I’m enrolling in AMEX and Discover Ethoca Alerts and RDR Alerts through my third-party vendor, Chargeback.io. To complete the setup, I need my AMEX SE number, registered AMEX descriptor, and Discover SE number.

I also need a full list of my historical billing descriptors, BIN/CAIDs, and my AMEX account & MID. Please provide this information at your earliest convenience. Let me know if you need anything else from me. Thank you for your help!
