Learn how to invite team members or freelancers to your Chargeback.io account to help manage alerts.
How to Add Team Members

- In the top-right corner, click
Invite User. - Enter the new user’s details:
- Name: Type their full name.
- Email address: Enter their work or preferred email.
- User permission: Choose their access level.
- Grant access: Select which business account(s) the user can access.
- Click Send Invite.
- Tell the user that you have invited them.

Important Considerations
- There is no limit to how many users an owner can invite.
- You can invite users even if they have:
- Never signed up before
- Signed up without a business account
- Signed up with another business account
- Already been invited to other accounts
- A user can belong to multiple business accounts owned by different owners.
- If you try to invite the same user to the same business account again (even with a new role), you will see this error:
- "This user has already been invited to business account(s)."
- Each invitation includes an Accept Invite button with a link valid for 10 days.
- The link can be opened multiple times until the user completes the invite process.
- The same email address can receive invitations from multiple business accounts.
- Each user has one of two status types:
- Invited: User has not accepted yet
- Active: User has accepted and can access the business account
If the User Doesn’t Receive the Invitation
- Ask them to check their spam or junk folder.
- If they still don’t see it after 10 minutes, click the counterclockwise arrows icon (🔄) to resend the request.
- If the issue continues, contact our support specialists.

Here's more information on each role:
1. Owner
The person who initially created the business account. They have full control over all areas of the account.
Permissions:
- Invite, remove, and manage users
- Modify business settings and billing info
- Manage integrations and platform configurations
- View and act on all alerts and disputes
2. Administrator
Granted by the Owner or another Admin. An Admin nearly the same level of access as Owner, with the exception of managing Owners.
Permissions:
- Invite, edit, and remove users
- Configure integrations and enrollment
- Edit business profile and billing
- View and manage all business-related actions
3. Manager
Operational role for team members involved in daily tasks. Managers can't change account-level settings or manage users.
Restrictions:
- Connecting or disconnecting integrations
- Editing business details (logo, name, website)
- Managing billing or payment settings
- Accessing the Users tab unless they're also Admin/Owner in at least one account
4. View Only
Read-only role designed for stakeholders or auditors. View Only can view data across the platform but can't trigger any actions or submit changes.
Restrictions:
- Making changes in settings
- Interacting with alerts, credit requests, or disputes
- Connecting integrations or uploading documents
Review each of these permissions before inviting a user so you know what they will have control over.
