Manage alert email notifications

Learn how to enable or disable email notifications for your alerts.

How to Set Up Notifications for Chargeback Alerts

  1. Click your account name in the lower-left corner.

  2. Select Settings.

  3. In the sidebar, click Notifications.

  4. Check or uncheck the boxes for the notifications you want to enable or disable.

What Notifications Are Recommended?

To avoid unnecessary emails, here are our recommendations:

1. Chargeback Prevented

  • Alerts you when a chargeback has been refunded.

  • Recommendation: Optional.

  • If an RDR alert was automatically refunded, you may not receive a Chargeback Prevented email for it. To confirm whether an RDR alert was processed, check the alert status in your dashboard.

2. Attention Required

  • Alerts you when an alert needs action.

  • Recommendation: Strongly recommended to keep enabled.

3. Weekly Summaries

  • Recap of alerts received in the past week.

  • Recommendation: Optional.

4. Monthly Summaries

  • Recap of alerts received in the past month.

  • Recommendation: Optional.

Slack notification date

If you receive alert notifications in Slack, the alert date shown in the Slack message may not match the date shown in your Chargeback.io dashboard. Both refer to the same alert. The difference is a display inconsistency and does not affect the alert or how it is processed. Use the alert ID shown in the Slack message to look up the alert in your dashboard.

⚠️ If you disable Attention Required, log in to your account daily to check pending alerts.
