How to Connect Stripe to Chargeback

There are multiple ways to find the Chargeback app and install it:

  • During onboarding

  • On the Chargeback Integrations page

  • In the Stripe Marketplace

The ways to begin connection will differ. However, the integration process will be identical.


How to Connect Stripe to Chargeback

1. Find the Stripe connection button.

If you created your account and want to add Stripe, you will navigate to the Integrations page, find Stripe, and click Connect:

Here is what you will do when connecting to Stripe during the account creation process:

After providing your business logo, name, and website in Step 1, you will select an integration in Step 2.

This is when you will connect to Stripe:

Click Connect.


2. Chargeback will redirect you to the Stripe Marketplace page for the Chargeback app.

Log in to your Stripe account.

From there, select an account to install Chargeback on.

Ensure this is the account that you want to receive alerts through.

Click the Install app button.


3. Stripe will redirect you to Chargeback.


4. Open Stripe and click on the Chargeback shield icon on the right sidebar.

From there, you will see a button that says “Authorization in to Chargeback.”

Click it.

If the connection was successful, you will see the following confirmation:

Click the Go to Chargeback button or switch to your chargeback tab to complete the enrollment process if this is where you connected the app.


How to Connect Stripe to Chargeback From the Stripe Marketplace

This method will only work if you set up an account with Chargeback, and it has the same email as your Stripe account.

Find the Chargeback app on the Stripe Marketplace by:

  1. Typing “Chargeback” into the search bar

When on the page, click Install from partner.

From there, the connection process will be the same as connecting it from the Chargeback dashboard or during account creation.

If you have multiple accounts on Chargeback, you will need to choose an account to install the Stripe app on when being redirected to Chargeback.

If you do not have a Chargeback account and try to install the Chargeback app through Stripe, you will be redirected to the Chargeback account creation set up page after selecting a Stripe business to add the app to.


How to Disconnect Stripe From Chargeback

To disconnect Stripe from Chargeback, navigate to the Integrations page, find Stripe, and click Disconnect.

You will receive a confirmation popup. Click Disconnect again.

After clicking Disconnect, Chargeback will redirect you to your Stripe dashboard.

Click Uninstall, which will be the third button from the right:

Clicking the button will uninstall the app and redirect you to the Installed apps tab in your settings. Double check to ensure that the Chargeback app does not reappear.
