When your Shopify Automate credit access request will be sent

Learn what happens after you request Shopify access for Automatic Credit Request.

Written by Theodore

This article applies only if you use Shopify and the Credits page says that your access request will be sent within 24 hours. It does not apply if the request has already been sent or has expired.

What this status means

Chargeback.io is preparing a Shopify collaborator access request for your store. This access allows Chargeback.io to submit eligible Automatic Credit Requests.

The request will be sent within 24 hours. No action is required until it arrives.

You’ll receive the request by email and as a notification in Shopify Admin.

Accept the request within 5 minutes

The request expires 5 minutes after it is sent. Complete these steps before it expires:

  1. In Shopify, open the collaborator access request.

  2. Review the requested permissions and accept the request.

  3. In Chargeback.io, go to Credits.

  4. Click Restore payment account.

  5. In the Automate credits window, select the checkbox labeled “I’ve accepted the collaborator access request from Chargeback team with the required permissions.”

  6. Click Submit.

If you do not accept the request within 5 minutes, it expires. You will need to submit a new request to continue setup.

What happens next

After you submit the confirmation, Chargeback.io displays a success notification.

Your Shopify setup appears on the Credits page with Pending access status. The page will show the current status while Chargeback.io verifies access.

If you have not received the request after 24 hours:

  1. Check your email, including your spam or junk folder.

  2. Check your notifications in Shopify Admin.

  3. Contact Chargeback.io Support if you still cannot find the request.
