Follow these steps to reset your password for Chargeback on desktop, mobile, and tablet devices:

1. Click the icon in the upper-right corner of the screen.

Then, navigate to Personal Settings on the dropdown menu.

2. Navigate to Password (the last option).

Ensure you are on the My profile tab.

3. Click Edit and reset your password.

  • Enter your current password

    • If you do not remember your current password, click Forgot password on the bottom-left corner of the popup

  • Type your new password

  • Confirm your new password by entering it again

You can use up to 1,000 characters in your password.

Tips to Create a Secure Password

Protect your account by following these best practices when generating a new password:

  • Aim for a minimum of 8–12 characters. The longer your password, the more difficult it is to crack.

  • Use a diverse combination of:

    • Uppercase letters

    • Lowercase letters

    • Numbers

    • Symbols

  • Don't include:

    • Personal information (name, birthday, address)

    • Common words or phrases

    • Simple patterns (1234, qwerty, etc.)

  • Use a different password for each account.

  • Update your passwords periodically; at least every 3 months.

  • Consider a reputable password manager (e.g., Bitwarden)

Tip: Create a memorable but nonsensical phrase, then turn it into a password. For example: "My-dog-ate-20-tacos-on-Tuesday!" could become "Md820t0T!". Or turn the aforementioned phrase into a passphrase.
