How to Create a Business Account
The sections below will show you how to create your first business account with Chargeback.io. These steps will show you what the onboarding process looks like.
Step 1: Create Your Login
You can create your login with Google or with an email and password.
If you create your login with email and password, enter:
First name
Last name

Password
Your password must contain at least 8 characters and include letters, numbers, and symbols. There's no maximum length.

Step 2: Add Basic Information
In Step 1 of account onboarding, enter your business name and website URL.
Business name: Enter the name you want to use in Chargeback.io. For multiple accounts, include the processor name so the account is easier to identify. (e.g. EMS - Eager Nomad)
Website URL: Enter a website that loads correctly. If the site is broken or unavailable, then activation is delayed.
Current provider: If you already use another chargeback provider, enter that provider name. This helps Chargeback.io connect your account faster.
If you're switching or transferring to Chargeback.io from another chargeback alerts provider, then follow the guide below.
Step 3: Add a Payment Processor
In Step 2 of account onboarding, choose how Chargeback.io should handle refunds.
If your processor has a supported integration, click
Connectunder that processor and complete the connection steps. If
Connectdoesn't appear for your processor, then that processor isn't supported for integration; click select under Manual Refunds.
Connect a supported payment processor to automatically refund eligible transactions if our system connects chargeback alerts to them in your processor dashboard.
If your processor isn't supported, then you can still receive alerts and process refunds manually through Manual Refunds. Manual Refunds lets you receive alerts and refund them yourself.

If you aren't sure which programs you need, review this comparison guide for Ethoca, CDRN, and RDR before you continue.
If you connected a processor to Chargeback.io, you must select CDRN or Ethoca during this step since you enabled automatic refunds.

Step 5: Add Descriptors and RDR IDs
In Step 4 of account onboarding, add the billing details required for your enrollment.
Add at least 1 billing descriptor.
If you enabled RDR in step 3, add RDR IDs.
RDR IDs include x4 ARNs or one or more BINs and CAID.
A minimum of 4 different ARNs must be added. If you don't have ARNs, or have fewer than 4 ARNs, add BINs and CAIDs by clicking the checkbox in I want to use BIN and CAID instead of ARNs.
Once the checkbox is checked, areas will appear where you can add your BINs and CAIDs.
We cannot enroll merchants if they have shared BINs and CAIDs with other merchants, which is common in processors like Mollie.

Step 6: Add a Card
In Step 6, add a valid and unexpired credit or debit card. Chargeback.io uses this card when you top up your balance and as a backup payment method if you use our Shopify Payments app.
Chargeback.io does not charge the card during signup. The card is charged only after you add a balance.
American Express is not accepted at this time because of financial regulations in the United Arab Emirates.
What Happens After You Create the First Business Account
After you finish setup, your account enters Demo Mode.
In Demo Mode, you can explore the dashboard and review example alerts. Demo Mode does not send live chargeback alerts and does not prevent chargebacks.
To leave Demo Mode, fill your business account's balance until your balance reaches the Minimum threshold shown in your dashboard.
Threshold amounts will vary by account.
After your balance reaches the Minimum threshold, your account switches to Live Mode.
In Live Mode, the dashboard shows alerts tied to your store’s real transactions.
