You’ll need an active Chargeback.io account to connect Airwallex. If you don’t have one, follow this guide to create it.
How to Connect Airwallex to Chargeback.io
In the left sidebar, click Integrations.
Find the Airwallex card.
Click Connect.
When prompted, enter your Client ID and API Key from Airwallex.
ℹ️ If needed, set an auto-refund threshold to limit automatic refunds.

How to Find Your Client ID and API Key in Airwallex
Part 1. Navigate to API Keys
Log in to Airwallex
In the sidebar, click Settings.
On the dropdown, navigate to Developer.
Once on the Developer page, navigate to the API keys tab.
Click the New scoped API key button.
Part 2. Create your API key
For the name, enter Chargeback.io Integration (recommended).
Under the section, Account-level Permissions, select the account(s) you want to connect to Chargeback.io.
Under the same section, find Payment Acceptance.
Under Payment Acceptance, check Read and Write only.
Don't check any other boxes.
Click Create.
Part 3. Copy your API key
You'll appear on a new page, don't click Done until you've connected Airwallex to Chargeback.io.
Copy the API Key (the first value).
Then, copy the Client ID.
Paste both values into the corresponding fields in Chargeback.io to complete the connection.
What if I Lose Access to my Airwallex API Key on Chargeback.io?
If you need to retrieve your API Key again from Airwallex, you'll need to regenerate your key by following these steps:
Navigate to the key you created.
Select the key you want to manage.
Click Manage Key in the lower-left corner.
On the overflow menu, click Regenerate.
Copy and paste the new API Key to Chargeback.io.
How to Disconnect Airwallex
In the left sidebar, click Integrations.
Find the Airwallex card and click Disconnect.
Important Notes
The Airwallex integration may occasionally fail to match a transaction to your Chargeback.io dashboard.
If this happens, mark the transaction as Not Found and file a Manual Credit Request.
