You’ll need an active Chargeback.io account to connect Adyen. If you don’t have one, follow this guide to create it.

Chargeback will be able to automatically process alerts only for transactions created AFTER the moment the Adyen integration is connected. This is due to Adyen's limitations.

How to Connect Adyen to Chargeback.io

Follow these steps to connect Adyen to Chargeback.io:

  1. In the sidebar, click Integrations.

  2. Find the Adyen card and click Connect.

  3. Add your API Key, Merchant Name, and URL Prefix.

  4. Click Connect.

ℹ️ If needed, set an auto-refund threshold to limit automatic refunds.
See the Automatic Refund Guide for more information.

  2. Open API URLs.

  3. Beside Prefix, click Copy.

Part 6 (Optional): Invite an Account Manager

Due to Adyen's limitations, when connecting an account, Chargeback.io's Adyen integration can only auto-refund future transactions and cannot auto-refund transactions done before connecting the integration.

To make it so you can refund previous transactions, you'll need to invite a Support Manager, which requires these steps:

  1. In the sidebar, click Accounts and on the dropdown, click Users.

  2. Click Create New User.

  3. Select 'Email and password' as the login method and enter only the user email, which is [email protected].

  4. On the Accounts step, select "Only selected account groups and merchant accounts".

  5. For Roles, expand Transactions and only select "View payments".

  6. At the last step, click Create User.

How to Disconnect Adyen From Chargeback.io

  2. Find the Adyen card and click Disconnect.

⚠️ Disconnecting Adyen does not stop alerts. To stop receiving alerts, fill out this disenrollment form.
