NMI Integration Guide

Guide for linking NMI with Chargeback.io.

NMI does not provide descriptor(s), ARNs, and BINs and CAID(s) since it’s a gateway and not a processor.

To continue with Step 1B, you must find these values in the payment processor you have connected to NMI. And if you don’t have ARNs, use one of the alternatives in this article.

Once you have descriptor(s) and ARNs (or BINs and CAID), continue to 1B.

How to Connect NMI to Chargeback.io

Follow these steps to connect NMI to Chargeback.io:

  1. In the sidebar, click Integrations.

  2. Find the NMI card and click Connect.

  3. Click Next through the prompts until you reach the screen asking for your API Key.

    1. See the next section for a guide on finding this.

  4. Add your API Key.

  5. Click Connect.

Connection completes instantly in most cases.

How to Find API Keys in NMI

1. Follow these steps to find this in NMI:

  1. Sign in to your NMI account.

  2. In the sidebar, click Options.

  3. On the dropdown, click Settings.

  4. Find the Security Options box and click Security Keys.

2. Create your API Key:

  1. Click Add a New Private Key.

  2. Enter a name for the key (e.g., Chargeback.io).

  3. Assign it to the appropriate username.

  4. Under Key Permission, check API.

  5. Click Create.

  6. NMI will redirect you to your created Key(s).

3. Copy your information:

  1. Find the Security Key with the name you assigned it.

  2. Under the Key column, click copy or select the key

    1. Don’t copy the Key ID.

  3. Navigate back to Chargeback.io and paste it into the API Key field.

How to Disconnect NMI From Chargeback.io

  1. In the left sidebar, click Integrations.

  2. Find the NMI card and click Disconnect.

⚠️ Disconnecting NMI does not stop alerts. To stop receiving alerts, fill out this disenrollment form.
