Next Commerce Connection Guide

Connect your Chargeback.io account to Next Commerce.

This guide is for Next Commerce (NEXT for short), which was previously 29 Next.

Next Commerce doesn’t provide billing descriptors or ARNs (or BINs and CAIDs). You must get these from the payment processor connected to your NEXT account.

How to Connect Next Commerce to Chargeback.io

Follow these steps to connect Chargeback.io to Next Commerce:

  1. In the sidebar, click Integrations.

  2. Find Next Commerce.

  3. Click Connect.

  4. When prompted, enter your Admin API Access Token and Store Name from Next Commerce.

Connection completes instantly in most cases.

If needed, set an auto-refund threshold to limit automatic refunds. See the Automatic Refund Guide for more information.

How to Find Admin API Access Token and Store Name in NEXT

This section walks you through finding your Admin API Access Token and Store Name in Next Commerce.

Part 1: Access API Settings

  1. In the sidebar, go to Stores and click Dashboard.

  2. In Dashboard, click Settings.

  3. In the left sidebar, click API Access.

  4. Click Create App.

Part 2: Create an API Access Token

  1. (Recommended) Name the app Chargeback so you can identify it easily, then click Save.

  2. Copy your Store name (everything before .29next.store) and the Admin API Access Token and don't leave the page.

  3. Return to Chargeback.io and paste these details:

    1. Admin API Access Token: The token you copied from Next Commerce

    2. Store: e.g., chargebackdev.29next.store

Don't leave the page or close the tab for the created API Access Token. You'll need to return to this page in a moment.

Part 3: Configure App Permissions

  1. Return to Next Commerce and open Configure App Permissions.

  2. Enable (check) these permissions:

    1. orders:read

    2. orders:write

    3. transactions:read

    4. transactions:write

  3. Click Save Changes.

You can now leave the created API Access Token page.

How Do I Disconnect Next Commerce from Chargeback.io?

  1. In the left sidebar, click Integrations.

  2. Find Next Commerce in the list.

  3. Click Disconnect.

The disconnection is immediate. After disconnecting, automatic refunds for CDRN and Ethoca alerts will stop.

Disconnecting Next Commerce does not stop alerts. To stop receiving alerts, fill out this unenrollment form.
