NMI doesn’t provide billing descriptors or ARNs (or BINs and CAIDs). You must get these from the payment processor connected to your NMI account.
How to Connect Chargeback.io to NMI
Follow these steps to connect Chargeback.io to NMI:
In the sidebar, click Integrations.
Find NMI.
Click
Connect.When prompted, add your API Key from NMI.
Connection completes instantly in most cases.
If needed, set an auto-refund threshold to limit automatic refunds. See the Automatic Refund Guide for more information.
How to Find API Keys in NMI
This section walks you through finding your API Keys in NMI.
Part 1: Log in and navigate to Security Keys
Sign in to your NMI account.
In the sidebar, click Options.
On the dropdown, click Settings.
Find the Security Options box and click Security Keys.
Part 2: Create an API Key
Click Add a New Private Key.
Enter a name for the key (e.g., Chargeback.io).
Assign it to the appropriate username.
Under Key Permission, check API.
Click
Create.NMI will redirect you to your created Key(s).
Part 3. Copy your API Key
Find the Security Key with the name you assigned it.
Under the Key column, click copy or select the key
Don’t copy the Key ID.
Navigate back to Chargeback.io and paste it into the API Key field.
How to Disconnect NMI From Chargeback.io
In the left sidebar, click Integrations.
Find the NMI card and click
Disconnect.
The disconnection is immediate. After disconnecting, automatic refunds for CDRN and Ethoca alerts will stop.
Disconnecting NMI does not stop alerts. To stop receiving alerts, fill out this unenrollment form.
